Special Music

Once again at the Feast we have a wonderful collection of very talented individuals performing on an array of different instruments. In addition to the special music performed during services we also were exposed to various performances at the Talent Show.

Mr. Ellis also gave a slideshow presentation of his recent trip with Mr. King to Africa.

Sunday Swimming / Dimanche Aquatique

The morning sermon was given by Mr. Stein on how the Bible gives us instructions and advice to help us overcome. Activities were planned for families for later on in the day and it was a good opportunity to spend time with one another. One of the activities that stuck out the most was swimming... or splashing, depending on how you describe the events below.

M. Stein a donné un sermon sur les instructions et les conseils bibliques pour triompher. Des activités ont été organisées pour les familles plus tard dans la journée et étaient une bonne occasion de passer du temps ensemble. Une des activités qui a eu le plus de succès fut la natation… ou éclabousser, selon votre analyse des photos plus bas.

La 'Pair of Teeth' / La 'pair of teeth' (l’apéritif)

A nice Sabbath rest was just what the doctor ordered after many of us travelled great distances and were finally settled into to their tabernacle dwellings. We heard an uplifting sermon from Mr. Stafford in the afternoon who spoke on the future and how blessed we are to know what lies in store for those in God's Church. This was followed shortly by what the French call an apéritif held by the Riviera Beach Club which ended the Sabbath on a high note.

Un agréable Sabbat était justement ce que le docteur a conseillé à la plupart d’entre nous après un long voyage et notre installation dans les logements de la fête. L’après-midi, nous avons entendu un sermon encourageant donné par M. Stafford qui nous a parlé du futur et à quel point nous sommes bénis de connaître ce qui attend ceux qui sont dans l’Eglise de Dieu. Un apéritif a été offert par le Riviera Beach Club avant le souper et à agréablement mit fin au Sabbat.

First Day and Friday

Welcome to the Feast in Hyeres, 2011. Everyone arrived safely with smiles on their faces to celebrate God’s Feast of Tabernacles in Europe. We heard an inspiring message from Mr. Meredith on the opening night and the following morning we heard from Mr. Clore who spoke about leaving our dirty ‘spiritual’ shoes at the door as we spend the next eight days experiencing a foretaste of God’s kingdom. This inspired the young men to literally clean shoes at the entrance to the hall on Friday morning...

Bienvenue à la Fête 2011 à Hyères. Tout le monde est bien arrivé avec le sourire aux lèvres pour célébrer la Fête des Tabernacles en Europe. Nous avons entendu un message inspirant de M. Meredith durant la soirée d’ouverture, suivi de M. Clore qui nous a parlé de laisser nos « chaussures spirituelles sales » à la porte pour expérimenter un avant-goût du Royaume de Dieu. Ceci a inspiré nos jeunes hommes à littéralement nettoyer les chaussures le vendredi matin avant de rentrer dans la salle…

With such a wide range of foreign languages the translators have their work cut out for them.

Avec autant de langues étrangères, les traducteurs ont eu du pain sur la planche.

New Design

As Feast applications dart through cyberspace the French Feast site blog has received a make over for 2011. This will be used as an ongoing blog even though it was last years experiment. So the address stays the same but it's content will span for however many years it's required.

Hopefully it will continue to be usefull for any and all information relating to the French Feast site.
